Forest closure: Maryvale Pines

HVP Plantations will be harvesting pine plantation at Maryvale west of Scrubby Lane between Traralgon West Road and Old Melbourne Road. This area encompasses the Maryvale Pines mountain bike tracks. The harvesting operation will start in the week commencing Monday 15 April 2024 and run for three weeks. Associated roading works were undertaken in late February 2024.

Logs from this operation will be delivered to local timber processors, including the nearby Maryvale paper mill.

During the operation this area of forest will be closed for public safety. The closure will be in effect 24 hours for the duration of the operation as the risk to public safety is still present when machines are not operating in the area.

The area that will be closed is shown on the map below. HVP will also erect warning signage and barriers around the operating area to delineate the areas closed.
